RAAPA Summer forum 2022 in Saint Petersburg.

The 10th Anniversary international Summer forum of amusement industry specialists was held from July 12 to July 15, 2022 in Saint Petersburg!
The forum has attracted a record number of participants: 200 specialists from 62 cities of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
Organizer of the event is the Russian Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (RAAPA). General informational Partner is the Attractions and Entertainments magazine; media partners are communication agency SPORT ACADEM REKLAMA, internet portal VTORIO.COM and other.
The forum was supported by Saint Petersburg City Government. Vice-Governor M. Yu. Sokolov mentioned: “Holding the 10th Summer forum of amusement industry specialists has become a landmark event for the specialists of cultural and entertainment industry and event tourism.
The program of the forum was rather intense.
The day before the start of the official part of the event, on July 12, the participants visited the historical center of the city making the walking tour of the Peter-and-Paul Fortress and having the boat ride along the rivers and canals of Saint Petersburg.
On July 13 the forum was officially opened in the large conference hall of Saint Petersburg Hotel!
After the greeting speech of RAAPA Vice-president Igor Rodionov anniversary diplomas were awarded to the event participants who many years supported RAAPA Summer forums and took part in most of them.
The program was continued with the conference.
The topic of development of recreational and tourist clusters was presented by Anna Dugar-Zhabon, founder of the consulting agency Creative Park Solution on the example of the presentation of the first in Russia agro-tourist amusement park in Sochi.
Crisis as a driver of a growth in the amusement industry, this topic was revealed by Dmitry Krutikov, General Manager of Piterland Water Park.
Yekaterina Slashcheva, Head of the parks and events department of Soyuzmultfilm spoke about the new formats of amusement parks and interactive leisure activities.
To key legal issues and current measures of support in the amusement industry was devoted the presentation speech of Zhan Batyrov, Founder and Managing Partner of J&P Solutions. Also, as a part of his speech the speaker announced establishing at RAAPA the committee for quality and safety assessment of provided services. The target of the committee will be an expert assessment of controversial issues and situations emerging in an entertainment facility.
The Business program of the event was followed by the Forum of Manufacturers: presentations of the rides and attractions novelties, entertainment equipment and services for the amusement industry were held by the leading Russian companies: KBEA, BigDecor, GROS, IOllA, AirMir, FAMILYBIKE, ATTRAPLAST, Game-Keeper, Volgograd Attractions, SmartVend, GLOBAL, LAS VEGAS, FontanGrad, Lime-Soft, RFresco, Natali Park, VRDiver, PAX Design, RAAPA Education Center, DIAMET, Skazka Factory of Attractions, Crochet parks Uley. Special block named Made in Saint Petersburg marked offers of the companies from the Northern capital: GIARMO, AirPalace Spb, Megapolis, BOLID, SPARTA, Vostok, SPORTSTROYSERVICE, Time Trial.
Business day was followed by the visit to the Piterland trade and entertainment complex. The forum participants made themselves familiar with a few leisure centers: Piterland Water Park, electric carting field Black Star Karting, air tube Fly Arena, family park Joki Joya, rope park Vysotny Gorod, artificial wave for Surfing, hotel Piterland, German restaurant with its own beer brewery Papasha Klauss. All questions of the visitors were answered in detail by the reps of each entertainment facility,
The day was completed with the solemn reception in honor of the opening of the 10th Anniversary Summer forum of RAAPA in Saint Petersburg. The results of the video contest Summer in the Parks were also announced there. The first place was taken by MAU Krasnoyarsk Park of Flora and Fauna Royev Ruchey, in the number of the first three prize winners were also included attractions park of City-Park Grad from Voronezh and amusement park Raduga Land from Yekaterinburg.
The second day of the forum, July 14, started with already traditional sporting event – RAAPA Summer Race held on Petrovskiy embankment near the cruiser Aurora. Despite early morning (7:15!) true running enthusiasts took part in this corporate contest. By the results of the competition the winners in the men’s and women’s categories were determined.
Three educational sessions held from 9:30 in the morning were devoted to topical themes: Amusement park in the world of VUCA, or how to survive in an unstable time with Natalia Likhovetskaya. The second seminar devoted to the search of points of growth in the amusement industry was conducted by the specialists of EntenS Group. The participants of the third session visited the attractions manufacturing factory VOSTOK.
Further on the program was continued in the amusement park Divo Ostrov, where the forumers had an opportunity to observe the city panorama from the Ferris Wheel’s 55-meters height. Anna Dolzhanskaya held an informational tour of the park answering multiple questions of the participants.
A visit to the amusement park Maza Park allowed to get acquainted with the concept of an entertainment center with single entrance ticket. The participants in addition to valuable information could test the multiple kinds of attractions and arcade game machines, including the novelties of the park – virtual reality attractions and computer club.
The business part of the forum was crowned by the solemn awarding of diplomas for participation.
Next day, July 15, was fully granted to the excursion program. The participants visited the famous Peterhof park and palace complex, and Kronstadt, where a number of sites were observed: Fort of St. Konstantin, Anchor Square and majestic Naval Cathedral.
The 10th Anniversary RAAPA Summer forum generated a great deal of truly glorious testimonials from the amusement industry specialists. The Summer forum set a new record for the number of participants, the number of cities and vivid impressions. The majority noted an intense business program, a precise organization, the possibility of a direct exchange of views and experiences with colleagues from different regions. Definitely, the venue of the forum and the beautiful city of Saint Petersburg contributed to this result in many ways!
